Could we afford it? My belief, as Chair was that we couldn’t afford not to. Our pupils deserved and needed strong school leaders to be found and drawn to apply. Our success was down to using Emmaus and definitely money well spent.

Having previously struggled to recruit two Headteachers - for both a Primary and a Secondary school - Emmaus came to the rescue. Their expert advice and deep understanding of recruiting Headship positions in Catholic schools is invaluable, and I have no hesitation in recommending their knowhow and their values.

I have personal experience of the quality of service Emmaus provides, when I successfully applied for a Headship position through them. I always felt I could call up, get the ‘inside take’ on the school and ask any questions in complete confidence. The support and expert advice I received made the application process far less daunting and I would thoroughly recommend Emmaus to any Church School looking to appoint a key Leadership position.

Thank you for all your support, advice and professionalism through out the long and complex process of our Head’s appointment. Having helped us appoint first time round it was unfortunate, due to personal circumstances, that our new Head had to subsequently withdraw post appointment. We were truly grateful for your service guarantee, which meant we incurred no further costs in appointing her replacement. Your unfailing support and advice at all times was greatly appreciated.

Emmaus were instrumental in persuading me to apply for the post of Headteacher. I had seen the school advertising in the past but nothing inspired me to get in touch. Once Emmaus advertised I felt intrigued and keen to learn more about the school. I was supported throughout the whole process, which was a very personal and positive experience. I would highly recommend Emmaus to any school thinking of recruiting, and candidates considering registering. If my new school had not used Emmaus I probably wouldn’t have applied.

We tried going it alone to find a CEO for our MAT but had only 2 applicants who didn't meet our requirements.

We approached Emmaus and from the start their professionalism was reassuring. They explained the different options and detailed processes behind their service and we felt the best option for us was their full service with Interview Support. We weren’t disappointed. From their creation of a professional candidate pack, through to their expert interview support, we were thoroughly impressed.

I am convinced that their proactive approach, combined with their extensive and varied marketing initiatives, is the reason we attracted such a wide level of interest and inquiries about the position, not only from people in the local area and the UK, but also from those looking to return from overseas.

If you are having problems filling senior posts in your school, or you are embarking on leadership recruitment for the first time, I strongly recommend you talk to Liam and his team.

I approached Emmaus following our own unsuccessful attempts to recruit Deputy DDEs for both the Dioceses of Leicester and Derby. It was soon apparent that Emmaus understood the intricacies of a Diocesan Board of Education and the distinctive nature of Church Schools. Although we had clear ideas of the sort of applicants we were looking for, it was beneficial to work with Emmaus as they went well beyond our own established networks, approaching and having conversations with individuals who perhaps might not initially think they ‘fit the mould’. Broadening their search parameters to reach out to candidates and have discreet conversations with them, meant we were fortunate to be able to consider a far greater number of candidates of high calibre, leading to first time appointments in both cases. I highly recommend Emmaus Leadership!
